Katie Czarniecki Hill is our kind of girl. She is the prestigious Walker Art Center’s self-appointed “cat-lady-in-residence” and organizer of the Walker’s first ever Internet Cat Video Film festival. With the featured videos selected through online vote, the festival promises to be a gigantic explosion of kitty love, with food, live music, custom cocktails and fun activities. Of course, capping the night will be a screening of the cat video selections on a big screen in Walker Open Field. If you are in Minneapolis on August 30th, it’s free (get there early to snag a prime seat!). Can’t wait? You can preview the People’s Choice nominees at the Walker Open Field website, and be sure to follow #catvidfest if you can’t make in person.
