Have You Seen This Cat?
This is Xiaohwa (it means "little flower" in Chinese). She was supposed to have flown to Taiwan to be reunited with her owner Iris Yu, but bolted after being removed from her carrier at a security checkpoint in New York's JFK airport. Her family is extremely concerned about her, since Xiaohwa is a rescue, starting life as a street cat in Brooklyn. Xiaohwa is FIV+, making her immunocompromised, and her owners hope that she avoids the fate of Jack, a lost kitty who was euthanized after being lost at the airport. To find out more information on Xiaohwa, check this Facebook page, and check this page out to find out how to keep your pet safe while you fly.
