Oregon cat-lover (and bird-lover) Sue Mandeville despaired of her cats. They were wreaking havoc on her bird-filled garden and she felt awful at the numerous bodies accumulated by her hunting felines. However, locking them indoors was making everyone miserable, resulting in problem peeing and cat fights. Then Mandeville had the idea to make the Catbib – a square or triangular neoprene sheet that hangs over the cat’s chest – which disrupted her cats ability to hunt sufficiently to protect the wildlife around her home. Mandeville assures buyers that it does not disrupt with a cat’s ability to nap, jump, run or play – just their ability to kill. As a bonus, it’s easier to see a cat in low light situations.
