Meet Joey
Miracle boy. Our daughter ran over him on the way home from work one day ( he was not hurt ) and he came right to her. He was abandoned on a stretch of road. He took to me instantly. He laid with me every day , slept with me. He taught himself to fetch a ball and we would play until he told me he was done. He would greet me at the door when getting home. He was my brother, my son until the last beat of his heart last July 11th. 8 days before his 15th birthday. My soul friend. My Joe.
