Cat-stronaut being considered for next animal in space

A Persian cat may be the next animal launched into space by the Iranian government. This adventurous cat-stronaut is one of the contenders to be propelled out of earth's atmosphere and safely brought back to earth; a rabbit and mouse are also under consideration. Previously, Iran has launched a monkey, mouse, a turtle and some worms into space, and they intend on sending a human in 2018.
