Ask your office manager or a local business if you can put out a box to collect donations of cat food for the local food bank. There are lots of struggling families short on food—and that includes their cats, too. For local businesses, independent pet stores are a great place to start and will definitely be sympathetic to your cause. Then just pick up the box after the specified period of time and drop it off at your local food bank.
