Meet Coconut

Coconut is the runt of an 8-kitten litter. Coconut got his name after we spent a week or so rubbing him down with coconut oil. Because he was the runt of the litter he wasn't strong enough to fight for food from his much larger siblings. They would claw at him, causing his neck to become ulcerated. Our vet tried to send us home with an antibiotic that had not been tested on a kitten that young. We started using organic coconut oil instead. In a weeks time it was healed.
