Cats Catching Criminals
Cat DNA, from a database at the University of Leicester, has managed to help catch a killer. Investigators matched DNA taken from cat hair on a victim with cat hair found with a suspect, which led to the successful conviction of David Hilder last month in Winchester, England. The cat hair opens up many possibilities for law enforcement, since cats are always tagging humans in their midst. The cat has been rehomed with new owners.
