Meet Nacho

  We found Nacho when he was only about 3-4weeks old, on my grandparents farm, his mother was a stray that was dropped off unwanted. When we found Nacho he had a severe infection in both eyes.    He won over my Mom immediately and she decided to try to treat his eyes instead of just putting him down. So we got some eye ointment to treat the infection. Unfourtunately that was not enough and after a few days of no improvement it was clear that something more needed to be done. So we took him into the vet where we requested surgery to remove his infected eyes. I as well as the vet were sure that he must have had FIV or FeLeuk to have such a nasty infection so little. My Mom had faith he didn't and sure enough the snap test was negative. The vet made it clear his chance of surviving the surgery was small. So immediately after surgery they sent him home, not expecting to see him for his re-check 2 days later.    Nacho was not only alive but doing amazing come his re-check. Nacho  went everywhere with us until he was old enough to learn his way around to the litter box, and that he was big enough and brave enough to be able to jump off the couch after he'd climb his way up. Nacho found his way into the hearts of many, including people who weren't cat lovers. People initially would take pity on him because of his blindness but soon it was his outgoing and loving personality that had them wrapped around his little tail.    Nacho is now 3.5 years old and going strong. He loves his family and even gives them kisses. He loves to snuggle and chase bugs.
