Emily was adopted from the Fredericton SPCA, through the satellite adoption program at the Douglas Animal Hospital. She and her little orange brother had been waiting there for a while, as they were special needs kitties and staff were hoping to adopt them out together. Both kitties had a condition called cerebellar hypoplasia, or "tumblers", which is caused by the mother cat contracting distemper while pregnant.
